I like my SSRs. I think they wear well and the noise is not bad. I have no experience with Toyo. I'm pretty sold on Interco, they make good tires.

OK I have been deliberating this for a month, 35 inch Supers swamper SSR or Toyo Open country MT. These are the only two large tires approved for a 17" 7.5 inch rim. Question is do the SSR wear faster and make so much noise the I regret buying them?

intercos have a mixed rep. Some are great! i have had a great set of tsl bias that went down the road great. and i have had a bad set of truxus that i could never get to balance out right and wow what a pain. toyos have a good rep but they are heavy as hell! so you will notice it when you drive them. (loss of power) either tire is good. my rec with the intercos is DO NOT order them online. for some reason every set of internet order tire from interco seemed to be shaped like a egg. go down to the local tire shop and have them order them and put them on. that way if they dont balance right then the tire shop has to deal with the crap and not you. Toyos expect to pay out the ass for them. good rep and toyos are good but i personally dont think that they are worth the money. 300 plus for a non comp tire is just crazyness to me.
I have a Super Swampers TSL Bias and I am enjoying them so far. Especially for the price, you can't beat it.

You know it’s not the rim (17) size that’s the stinking problem. My Rubicon came with 7.5” wide rims. I’m sure this has something to do with gas mileage. If I had 8” wide rims I’m sure I would be running on Goodyear mtr’s.
