Moab, HB you suck, yet again. Have a GREAT time. What's up with your puters, they seem to break more than a CJAgain have a GREAT time, and be safe bud.
Heading to Moab on the 29th of April, should be home around the 8th of May!
Now the bad news, my computers are whacked, both of them.
So, I won't be online much.
Can't afford to fix 'em right now, heck, I can't even afford the 'Tap-A-Talk' app for my phone right now! Not until after Moab, anyway.
Good news! I can upload videos right to YouTube, so I'll be doing that whenevr we get some Wi-Fi in Moab.
They'll be on my channel, under: HillBillECJ7

Thanks guys!
I have no idea what it is between me and computers! GRRRR! One 'good' thing, I'm getting better at troubleshooting them, and very profeccient at wiping out the hard drive/completely rebooting the things.
I think what happened with this one (My HP) is that it's almost 8 years old.
It was working OK, until I 'upgraded' to IE8, then it went to hell. Started getting real slow, then just locked up.
We have a desk top computer, the youngest boy uses that. I can use it, but it's also old (around 8-10 years old)
But my biggest problem is, I can't sit at a desk top computer, and actually use it.
Messes up my back and neck really fast.
With my laptop, I'm laid back in bed, propped up with 8-9 pillows, and have the laptop on a table that's similar to a hospital style one. It tilts to hold the computer, or book, or writing tablet.
Looking at getting a netbook next. Cheaper, lighter, smaller, and does 95% of what I do know, mainly cruise forums, check email, and shop for parts.
I can always do CD/DVD making on the desk top, or the wifes computer.
Gettint excited for Moab!!
My son Ty is going with, which is awsome! He was pretty much estranged for the last 18 months, mainly due to his crazy controlling girlfriend he had during that time.
He went for over 18 months of not seeing his brother or step mom (my current wife, who raised him from 11 through 18)
I only saw him a few times during that time, and we only live 12 miles apart.
Glad he's back in our lives, back in school, and trying to get his life back on track.
It'll be a good trip with him!
Although, him being a 'starving college student', the money will be tight. He's hoping for some money from school, either the VA or a grant, before we leave, but I don't think he'll get it by then.
I figure I'm going anyway, so the only extra cost is food, another share of the camping, and paying for an extra person for our one hotel stay on the way home.
That's not bad. Even if I have to eat flipping Ramen Noodles during the trip, I'm going to Moab again!!!
I hope to load some videos to YouTube while out there, and may be able to upload some pics to my photobucket account.
If so, then guys could check 'em out, and even post them here while I'm gone.
We don't usually bring computers, and we camp at the BLM sites, so the only chance I get any Wi-Fi, is when we're in town to grab gas/groceries. (usually calling the wife and younger son then)
But we'll see!

Bro, If you have trouble installing or un-installing programs try "Revo Unistaller Pro"
you can do;
Junk File Cleaner/Window Tools/Browser Cleaner/Microsoft Office Cleaner/Window Cleaner and Evidence Remover.
Evidence remover wipe out anything in you disc that you dont want any body to see.
Every time you delete something it allways stay in the hard disc. The evidence remover fix that for good.
Anyway travel safe and if there anything I can help you with let me know, roger.

Thanks Warrior, may have to try that.
I wiped it out again, and went with 'FireFox' this time, instead of IE8. So far, so good.
92 hours and 10 minutes until I'm on the road to Moab!!
Hey, when's that contest start anyhow????![]()

If you can't get your puters to stay working I have a Toshiba NB305 netbook that's just collecting dust with windows 7 on it that I could hook you up with for a deal. Bought it when my laptop crashed in Iraq used it for about 2 months till I figured out what was going on with the laptop.

You going alone or with your club?
I was thinking on doing a little road trip that way before my deployment
Club run, Moab is one of our annual runs. Although, were dropping like flies! Started out last November with 12 of our 15 members planning to go, but now we're down to 5.
Some couldn't get vacation, the economy nailed a couple guys (@ $4 a gallon for gas, it's going to be around $1K just for fuel) and JW just dropped out.
JW was tired of having problems with his front axle, so he ordered a brand new D44 from Currie. In under 500 miles, the pinion bearings failed. Currie won't authorise anyone else to do any work, he has to ship it to them (on his dime) for inspection. Then, IF they determine it's thier fault, they'll fix it and refund the shipping. If they decide it's not thier fualt, well, he's just plain screwed.
So now we're down to 3 guys from up here, meeting one guy in CO on our way through, and Sparky's driving out from TX, where he's working right now.

Well, in 72 hours I should be sitting at the campground in Avoca, IA, having a beer, the first leg of the journey to Maob complete!!
In some better news, my buddy JW should be joining us! While Currie wouldn't work with him, the distributor he used to buy the axle, Allen's Offroad, came through for him!
He posted this today:
So he's burning the midnight oil, getting his rig ready to roll!!Customer service does exist!!!!!!!! Just not at Currie. I called Allen's Offroad(the distributer I got the axle though) this morning to get an invoice number for Currie, long story short, Allen made all the bad go away! I'll have a bearing, race, seal, and 4 qts of oil at my front door wed. Oh and a warrenty to boot.
The bad news, while doing the tear down tonight, he cut his hand. He was removing the pinion, and when he went to catch it, the teeth cut his hand, bad enough for stitches.
But, knowing Jeeperwilly, he'll be installing the new bearings Wed after work, and meet us in IA Sat night.
We'd be helping him out, but right now he lives 5 hours south of us.
