Default Rain + Jeep = brake lockup?

I got in the jeep after the rain stopped and went to the local fat food store (taco smell / FCK) and coming up to the stop sign at my office, the brakes locked up! Tires squealed, children cried, women screamed, and small animals fell over dead.. It was REALLY loud..

ANYWAY.. why in the hell would my brakes lock up like that? It's like there's almost 0 play from go to stop!

I've heard about this happening quite a bit. If you search on jeepforum or nova you'll probably see quite a few threads on it. Don't remember the explanation off hand though.

Bingo! When its wet, from humidity or rain, etc. you get some corrosion on the rotor's/drums.

Especially if the vehicle sits for a couple days, my old pick up and my CJ both do it. My newer rigs with working ABS don't sem to be as bad.
