what kind? I have the Cobra 75 WX ST or something like that and it just had small pieces that basically mount inside the dash.
I have that tool used to tune the CB which is great if you have an antenna with a tuneable tip.
Anyone have suggestions on how to install? Gonna go screw with it right now, but not actually installing.

Sweet. I think we may need that tool. I have the Uniden 520 or something like that. I still haven't gone back down to get everything.
It is a pretty good SWR meter and I cannot remember how to use it, but maybe later I can pull up some directions for that model online.
Here is the link to the page with the meter: linky

I can bring it if you go saturday.
okay. is it definitely goin down saturday?
that is what is all set up. We have the SYE installer lined up. My wife is going to watch the kids. There will be a few people there that signed up to attend.
If for some freak reason the part does not come in on friday, it may arrive saturday. If not, I will just do the lift and wait on the SYE some other time. That would suck, but I have to do what I have to do to try to at least get some of the stuff on.
930 Saturday the 15th at Diego's house.
The Cobra 75 with the weather channel works pretty good. I have it mounted on our Touring Motorcycle. Since you only mount the power unit thing, and with the limited space in the Wrangler, I thought about installing it behind the glove box, near the fuse box. Haven't done it yet. The antenna will be mounted on a bracket from Terra-Flex. Bracket mounts behind tail light. You choose which side you wish to mount antenna on, and then order correct bracket for that side. Looks good, hope it all works. Nice thing about the Cobra 75, is you can unscrew the Control Mic" and no one knows you have a CB. Out of sight, out of mind. This lessens the Availability/Opportunity of theft maybe.
I got the radio in and everything works well. I got a drill in mount because I am going with inset tail lights eventually. My CB is mounted with zip ties to the e-brake (I don't have a console), so I can cut it and stow it when it comes time to take the top off. After I get my 8.8 in, I'm going to be looking for more secure, permanent, and weatherproof methods in which to mount it.
A friend of mine has a Tuffy Overhead Security Console that his CB is mounted in.
Here is a link to where he got his.

They are not far from me and have a scratch and dent part of the store. I could go and look to see if they have one in scratch and dent. Sometimes you can get up to 50% off the store price and they are in great condition.
You can also order their catalog from http://www.4wd.com which has a Tuffy Overhead Security Console with Double Compartment as well. It is $262.99.
