    Default Clock spring replacement...

    any guys had to replace the clock spring?? my warranty company won't cover it...i am thinking about doing it myself..bt not sure how much i am going to get into it..

    Yes, I had to replace my clockspring. Had a bad connection, my cruise didn't work and my airbag light kept comming on. It is very simple. 2 8mm screws on the back of the wheel removes your airbag [don't forget to disconnect your battery and let it sit for about 20 minutes to deplete the capacitor]. Unplug everything, pull your wheel [you will need a wheel puller] the clock spring comes off with two tabs... Costs about $150 to replace...
