what ya trying to do? There may be other stuff you can use instead.
Where can I get two of those inertia harnesses used on the blackhawks? The ones used by the chiefs?
^ Uh, do you really want to know?
I want to attach them to the harness bar. When you're wheeling over rocks and crap, you can lean way far out to check your points of contact, sit back down and hit the lock, effectively acting like a seatbelt. I would keep my seatbelts for daily crap, but it would be freakin sweet to have these on my Jeep.
and fly around when you jeep rolls! jeeezzee.
Hah. That's why you have the lock. Although...it doesn't lock you down...
maybe a three point lock?
Would be kind of neat to have some sort of mechanical lock for a retractable should harness. Something you could activate by button, or pulling a cable. Maybe have it locked as a default setting but able to be freed up if you need to lean out or something.
I normally drive around in my buggy with just my lap belts on. Kind of sucks to have to stop and put the shoulder harnesses on before hitting an obstacle. Sucks even worse to roll with just lap belts on.. you flop around like a rag doll.

The inertia switches are on a L-shaped swivel toggle. 12 o'clock lock, 9 o'clock free.
well, I am a blackhawk crewchief and I could probably get some. But its risky and would cost ya![]()
I've thought about this for awhile and even looked for aircrew harness on Government Liquidations (old DRMO stuff). As aircrew in our seats we had 5 point harness. The lap and crotch were stationary while the shoulder harness could be free or locked. Shoulder harness also connected at a "Y" behind your shoulders and then only had one strap down the back. I figured these would be perfect wheeling belts. More flexibility then racing harness but more protection then standard belts.
