    Angry Problem and Questions

Ok so I replaced my tie rod due to being slightly bent. I checked the alignment with the tape measure to see how far off it was with the new one installed. I made some slight adjustments. I took it today to get the alignment done, just to make sure it is all good because this is my daily driver. Well I was told some things where wrong and other items. So here goes the problems.
    1. They told me my axle tubes where bent. Now the question I have with that and the question I asked them was. If the Axle tube is bent wouldnt there be a possible leak, and would it cause a whinning noise or something from the rear end, because I would imagine where the splines go in are precise. I dont know much about rear ends unless they are of opposite sex! The rear axle is out of a 06 Unlimited, Dana 44. So any advice on this one?
    2. Then they told me they would have to take out the trailing arm make an adjustment put it back in, check the alignment, if still out they would have to pull it back out make another adjustment and then install it again, basically keep doing that until the alignment was done. Does that sound right?

The Jeep does ride alot better and got rid of the slight bump steer I had.
Any recommendations with the two issues I have. And can I keep driving it and not worry about it?
    Thanks

I was thinking about taking it to ORW and see what they say, because I originally took it to a little tire store.

Axle tubes can be bent. For example a d30, say running 35" and up tires w can bend the tubes on occasion. The fix is of course bigger axle or having a truss installed for more strentgh.

But certainly take the rig to a another shop 1st and see what they say.
