    Default The jeep build

ok.. maybe its not THAT important, but i figured ive posted these on other forums, i should probably bring my baby to a new family and let you all see the progress

feel free to move if its not in the right section.

let me introduce you to my big fat child...

    1993 XJ
-4.0(10k miles on new engine and tranny)
    -4x4 obv
    -267k on the body
-3 in rubber puck lift(was on from previous)

    all for 2k bucks

now i have many plans for her, so heres where they start

well i have A LOT of plans for this things and ive already started on a couple

this is what she looked like when i first got her.

this is what she looked like when i first got her.

it was a solid basis for a daily as it sat, but making something into your own is much more fun

so first came a new set of wheels and tires since i couldnt stand those super swampers

so here it sets with a set of kumo venture m/t's with standard black american racing wheels courtesy of craigslist

next i wanted to get rid of that shitty grey cladding on the bottoms of the panels along with the fender flairs.

to do this, i looked into doing herculiner or rhino liner for them, but couldnt decide on the color, so i went with just some white spray paint to just get the look.

i wanted to do the herculiner interior to her so i decided that i had to get started... i ripped out all the carpets and
i had a nice section of floor board that had to be replaced, so we had to cut it out and weld a new piece in.

and since ive had some problems with my exhaust on the trails, i replaced the shitty muffler i had on there with a flowmaster, and just welded a down pipe to exit right before the axle.

its not the prettiest in the world, but the whole flooring is going to be herculined next, so no one will be able to tell.

that sat there for awhile while i did some other repairs and yesterday i had the day off and decided i was tired of riding around with bare floors...

took the day to strip and sand everything down to get it prepped for primer, and then for the herculiner roll on

    and after the primer...

i should be done with the bed liner painting this weekend, then its off to some other projects on it

Kudos to using the proper safety gear. It's kinda scary to see people not using the stuff, but I guess it's their body, not mine.

yeah, ive had a couple mishaps before and i always wear the right stuff.

as for the herculiner, you HAVE to wear some sort of mask, as in ventilator, cause you can get serious lung damage from that shit... its NO joke
