    Default Tire sizes

So I'm shopping around for new tires. Right now I've just got the stock 31" bfg mt's, but getting ready to upgrade.
My 2 choices for tire size are 33x12.5 or 34x10.5
Being my daily driver and weekend toy, driveability is important to me. My twisted reasoning tells me that both tires should have the same streetability. Even though 1 is an inch taller, it is 2" narrower.
So based on size alone, would you think they would have similar on road characteristics?

well since you say 34" I assume your talking about the LTB? they are great tires off road but I ran them on a ranger and they were ruff! Now you can get a good off road tire with better road manners in the 33" but it also depends on how many road miles your talking a week?

I have 33's TRXUS they are great off road but seem to wear quick,
BFG AT's are great on the road and good off road they wear like iron.

Size wise 33's should do you just fine, they get me almost everywhere I want to go.

I am running those 36 x 13.50 radiaL Iroks. yes they are going fast at 12k miles the rears are half smoked because of a locked diff but the fronts still look great. I must say they are the best off-road tire I have ever driven on the street with

I've been talking to some other people on different forums about those same tires. from what i have heard the ltb's are a good tire but the over all road manners and capabilities of the trxus are superior.

I'm running 33X12.5 Trxs MT's and LOVE them. They aren't very loud on the street and excellent off road. I've got about 4000 miles on them now and they still look like new (when they're clean!).

Go with the 33x12.5 Trxs MT's. Best tire if you are throwing them on a DD.

My 33x12.50's Mickey Thompson MTZ's are wearing great except for the rock rash and the fender scarring. They are very quiet, yet still dig in well on everything I've tried to get my Jeep stuck in. You really want to get a radial MT since you DD the Jeep and the fact that you may have to leave the Jeep sitting for extended periods of time. A non Radial tire will get flat spots if it sits for too long.

For a good deal on tires, try treadepot.com. I bought a set of AT's, and no one around could come close to the price. Plus, they have free shipping.
