    Default The new Gladiator...

I've been seriously digging the new Jeep gladiator and following along with it's introduction. Jeep created a "special edition" for the first production run which was basically a top of the line Rubicon with special badging.

They put them on presale on the 4th and sold EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!

Special edition Jeep Gladiator sold out in 1 day

Thatís amazing in and of itself. Whatís frightening to me is the cost. $60+k!!!!!!!
And thatís not even the diesel which isnít coming just yet. Holy crap!
Base model is supposed to be in the low $30s.
All I can guess is itís very well received (people like it) and some folks with thick wallets are buying one as an ďinvestmentĒ being a first edition.

I’ve seen several videos and am pretty impressed. Normally I wouldn’t buy a first year Jeep, even though I’m a huge fanboy. However, it seems close enough to the JL that it relieves that fear. I did price build and price out the one I would like, $55,990. It ain’t cheap but a manual trans Rubi truck would be really nice. The dark green with brown leather is a nice combo.

    Itís here! Itís HERE!!!

Unfortunately the sticker price was $53000!!!

On a good note, the wife has said she isnít interested in getting a Renegade anymore. We took a test drive in a JK unlimited and she really liked it.
Again, canít afford it but at least she wants a ďrealĒ Jeep now.

I don't think the ones here were Rubicons. One was an overland I think. Probably both. I'm guessing it's mostly because they are brand new to market and getting them on the lot is harder. Maybe once they ramp up production prices will become more reasonable.
I saw a new ford ranger this morning. It should be enough competition to drive prices. I hope

I only saw a little of it as the Waggy couldn't keep up() but it looked like a smallish f150. New trucks don't do anything for me looks wise so I'm not much of a judge. But hopefully it and some of the other small trucks can push Jeep to lower prices.

I read an article in one of my auto mag's that said the way to go is to order a sport with options. The main option that they listed that impressed me was the max tow group which gives you the D44 axles front and rear (just like the Rubicon). It worked out a lot cheaper then ordering the upgraded ones.
I'm Mike, make sure you spell it right, because I do not want to get the wrong A$$hole in trouble.

If you do not have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time do do it over?
