Well, after a successful tranny repair, had the axle seal go on rear drive axle, passengers side. Decided to replace by side seals, bearings and retainers.
All looked good, but today the passengers side started leaking. Pulled the axle and found tbis5

It looks like the retainer backed off. Going to pull everything and see what damage was done to the axle shaft.
Anyone have, or know where to get dimensions of the Dana44 rear axle? Need where seal, bearing and retainer are pressed.
Been searching for awhile, but no joy

After some research, apparently, unbeknowsnt to me, you do not heat up the retainer, which I did. So just bought all new and had my son just press them on at work. No new issues. I checked the other side and it was also pulling out. Bearing looked good, so just replaced the retainer.
Sofar so good

Whoda thunk it!?!?!
I've heated them in a pinch, but I can see that happening.
