Default Too good to be true?

Feel free to move this if it isn't in the right forum.

So I've been looking around for the best deal on the Superior super 30 kit. Just for giggles I looked on Summit and found this. It seems way low for the whole kit,and way high for just the locker. Can any of you tell me if this is an awesome deal or if I'm going bone myself on this one. I tried calling to ask about it but no one's around I guess.

It looks like a good deal, if you were to pursue it though you would need to verify absolutely it will work for your Dana 30 application, I think it should but I'm not as familiar with the older YJ front axles. I know the TJ ones are the same unless you have a Rubicon even though the Rubi is really a hybrid Dana30/44. That would be my only concern is making sure it will work before I dropped a grand of cash on it, otherwise it's good to go, good vendor.

looking at the one you posted i believe that it is just the locker , just by the part type and its discription on the bottom. i believe this is what you are looking for http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku its discription says axles and locker. so if that is actually what you are looking for then i found this http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...A-S30-EV30-ARB

now if you are tryin to make a dana 30 hold up to some mid level wheelin it can be done but at a price. my suggestion would be to go and find a wrecked rubi tj or even a jk and cut off the control arm brackets and weld on some spring perches. here is another option that i found for you, sounds like some nice stuff for a great price.

so that is a few of the things i see for about the same price.

There is a guy over on PNW Jeep that has a YJ and will be looking to part the axles out in a few months. Axle stats:
Front: HP 30, 4.88 gears, Eaton Elocker, Alloy USA shafts
Rear: Ford 8.8, 4.88 gears, Detroit full case locker, disc brakes

Not sure what he was asking but I thought it was just under $3k Not really too bad for bolt in built axles.

Thanks guys I decided to take a chance on it. Summit has a pretty awesome no questions return policy if it turns out to be the wrong thing.

The link shows over 1000 Thats about right. As for the S30 kit I would recommend away from it for several reasons but mostly because it doesn't do away with the weak links of the d30. It does give you 30 spline chromoly shafts BUT the Ujoints are the same so they are still the weak link and when A UJoint goes bad it can ream the shafts and replacemnet shafts are about 500

Everywhere else I looked wanted over $1500, and I'm getting Randy's ring and pinions U-joints when I take it to him to get regeared. Those things are the strongest things I've ever seen.
