    Default Gearing Suggestions

So looking at my wish list on the Waggy.
Gears & Armor being the top things.
Armor is easy to decide, gearing not as easy.
Lets see what you all recommend.
No not doing it right away (georgia), just putting the wish list together and I'm bored waiting for a job to finish on the mainframe.

    Spec's needed for this:
    Non-Daily Driver
Has to handle 3 hour road trips to wheeling untrailered
360 2bl (that I'll need to do a tune-up prior to this to)
    D44 Front & Rear
    35" M/T's
    Automatic no overdrive
    Quadtrac (AWD essentially)
Currently, least according to build sheet and near as I can determine 3.54 gears.

So look at the poll and post your comments

O and locker is on the wish list as well. Most likely will go with a cable locker for it, I like to be able to select it when I want it. The lockers, both a front and rear will go in at the same time as the gear install.

Before I made the poll on another board (www.beltwayjeepers.com) I was leaning to 4.56's or 4.89's. It was suggested to due the 4.56 as it doesn't have an overdrive.

I vote for 4:56. Three hour road trip w/o OD and 35'' tires would really suck with 4:88's. Even a fresh 360 would be screaming good.

I'm running 4:10's in my CJ, with 33'' tires and a 4 spd (T4). I only have a 65 mile drive to the OHV park, and at 70mph, I'm turning around 3grand on the tach.

4:56 for the trip, with 35's you will thank yourself later with the better road ability and 4:88 is what I am going for on my TJ
