    Default Floor covering?

I want to take the carpet out of my jeep, it leaks anytime it rains.....loosedog knows he saw how wet it gets inside... anyway, im sick of the moldy ass smell from the carpet. I am thinking either herculiner or ive seen molded vinyl floor covering on 4wd.com http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.as...65&groupID=346

If I could get yalls opinions or experiences with either, i would much appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Oh and i know the leak is "standard" on a jeep. I realize that, I have come to terms with it...

    Herculine it.
I put 3 coats throughout the jeep, except for the front floor boards. I layed down 5 there to help cut down on the heat. Would have taken me 2 1/2 days if I had a driveway and it wasn't my daily driver. Total cost was less than $150. That include 1/5 gals of herculine, a bottle of uv protectant, brushes, rollers, tape, rags and xylene.

Definitely stay away from the vinyl. It will trap water and we all know what happens there. Herculiner seems to be most everyones choice. I used the Duplicolor bed liner on mine and have been happy so far. It's not as durable as Herc but when it's free what the hell.

I take my windows out in the spring (usually mid April) and don't put them back in until 2 weeks ago. I air dry so no smell. Plus I pull my drain plugs frint and back. Just remember if you do that to keep them with you. You might want to put them in for stream crossings, the drain plugs work both ways . And yes the Jeep comes with leaks, squeeks and tweeks, reminds me of my days flying in the SH-3 Helicopter. If it didn't leak there was something wrong with it...

I have the Unlimited and I ended up using one gallon and then a quart the next day to hit some spots extra and touch up some spots we missed around the edges. So, I would say yes. Don't get the cheaper crap to try to save a few bucks, get the Herc. I saw a truck bedliner done in the cheaper stuff and it looked horrible and was not holding up too well.
