    Default broken suspension

    i recently discovered by rear bushings on my RC hydro 8000 shocks were rotted out and there hitting the mounts making a banging noise, could this cause alot of damage? and does anyone know if i can just buy a bushing kit the guy at RC told me to buy a new shock, im trying to fix it before i drive upto NY the second i dont wanna go 6 hours with broken shocks.

    Driving without the bushings in the shock eylet is not the best thing for them, but no, they are not going to hurt anything. You should be able to find just the bushings though without having to buy a whole new shock. If the shocks are somewhat new, try calling the shock manufacturer and telling them about it. Sometimes they will just mail you the new bushings. A happy customer is better than losing potential business.

    You can get bushings at most parts stores also. In the red HELP packages.

    If the noise is bad, or it pounds hard, (which may oval the shock eye, ruining the shock) you could always remove it, until it can be fixed properly.

    Driving with 1 shock gone isn't bad, more than one missing can add to the body roll.

    i finally found ordered bushings for top and bottom both back, i just hope it gets here before firday
