Default milspec jeep... who wants one?

    stole this from jeep forums:

It is called LPV, short for Light Patrol Vehicle, based on the J8 Wrangler. These pictures were sent to the Mideast dealers network. The email read as follows:
    "Dear All,
We are pleased to advise you that Chrysler Middle East & Levant in partnership with JANKEL is taking the initiative to participate in the forthcoming Military Exihibition in Qatar ( 17th-19th.Nov.2008 ). In order to take advantage of this event we are planning to invite key Military & Defene personell on your behalf.
In this respect we request you to provide us the details of the key contacts at the Military and Ministry of Defence in your respective coutries/territories before the close of business on Wednesday, October 22, 08. Please bear in mind that no financial participation is required from yourside except the lodging and travel cost of the attendees.
Attached below is the Jankel brochure on the Light Patrol Vehicle developed for the J8 Military Wrangler."
Got this from someone on the inside :shhh:

Looks neat, but the tires don't even look like they go with the jeep. I would not mind having one though. Thanks for sharing.

You know... it amazes me how chrysler totally ignores us jeepers when it comes to building an offroad capable jeep.

You have to wonder about the use of leaf springs in the rear though. Definitely needs new shoes.
