Gotta love Jeeps! Some of it comes from us being able to do a 'field repair', and some of it comes from how the Jeeps are designed.
Either way, it's nice to be able to say, "I can fix that, at least enough to get home/to the shop"![]()
Last year after leaving the office I stopped for gas, for some dumb reason I looked under my jeep and noticed the bolt holding the control arm to the front drivers side had lost a nut and walked halfway out. Banged it in with a hammer, clamped it with vice grips drove a mile to a auto parts store and when they didnt have the nut back a couple miles to a hardware store. Found a bolt that almost fit, made it work. The same time my friend had a light come on in his bmw and had it towed to the shop and had to bum a lift for a day til they got him a crap rental.
Today someone comes into my office and says that something is hanging off the back tire. The shock cross pin broke and the shock was dragging. A zip tie and a 12 mile drive through post on the way home and she makes it. Got to love a auto like that.

As long as the people remain armed,
government knows that it cannot rule over the people by force.
Those who stand in defiance of unconstitutional laws
do so out of duty, honor, oath and love of country.
