I just used mine for the first time tonight. Decently difficult pull, performed flawlessly. My buddy has the same one and had to use it right behind me and it went just fine.

I bought my bumper from Ground Pounder Fab and added the winch plate as a bolt on option. I think the winch plate ran me around 30 or 40 bucks. Some of the winch plates I saw online were almost the price of my front bumper with a winch plate and stinger.

Good luck. I need a winch myself....I a just waiting for a good deal to pop up online that is too good to pass up.

I got a skyjacker or rancho one. I just ordered one that I asked would fit my heep. Nothing special for install. Super easy and straightforward.

The smittybuilt xrc winch works just fine. Great winch for a tight budget.
