    Default Re Gearing

I am going to regear my KJ to 4.10's. When you regear do u have to do the full rebuild or is it just highly suggested. I will more then likely get all the stuff for the rebuild but having issues finding a rebuild kit for a D30A.

Anyone have a good rebuild kit for a Chry 8.25 29 spline?

What do you mean by "full rebuild?" You will need a gear set, and install kit. That's it. You don't need new seals, or bearings, unless there is a problem with the ones in there.

Shims and such. I really don't know. I bought the gears and install kit, and took it to a shop that does all the work I can't do on my jeep. They had it done in a day and a half.

Bearings and shims. For the $70-$80 per kit, it's worth it. Trying to remove/reuse pinion bearings is next to impossible, without doing damage to the bearings.

What gears are you currently running, OP too?

At stock I was 3.73 and when I switched to 33" I went to 4.56 gears. The Jeep didn't like the highway "hills" at stock and now it's a bit better but at the park she does just fine.
