    Default Air Intake

I have an 02 TJ with the 4.0 I6 and I want to put an intake and throttle body spacer on it this tax return. I was looking at the Hesco throttle body spacer along with the Banks Ram Air intake. Just looking to see if anyone has used these before and how well they work. If anyone has any other ideas that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help in advance.

Any gains you may get will be at wide open throttle. Unless you are in alot of med you probably don't spend much time wide open. Even if it does gain power it won't be much. I wouldn't waste your money.

So pretty much keep the engine the way it is. What is your take on doing cat back system and head. Any gains besides throaty noise? What would be a good performance mod?

i was thinkin about that too, but i was told regearing would be the best for performance.

Regearing will help make up for increased tire sizes. There are super chargers, cams, not much when it comes to bolt on.

Thanks a lot for the advice. This is my fourth Jeep (2 YJs, WJ & current TJ) but the first that I get to modify my way from the ground up. The 2 YJs were already lifted when I bought them. I want to do this "right". All the help with the tire post the other day and with my current post is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

if your going to be wheeling your jeep off road you don't want any kind of ram air that has an open filter you should go with a snorkel if your going to mess with the intake, if you have an open filter under your hood your going to suck up alot of water mud
