    Default Hard Upper Door help

I bought these used and they came with 3 pins per door that are threaded. I can't open the installation guide from Bestop, doesn anyone know if I'm supposed to remove the plastic pieces and install rivnuts or maybe where I can find the install guide that works?

The hard upper halves right? I had this issue when I bought mine. You can do it the ghetto way like I did, or order the parts from bestop, but I think it was like 80 bucks for the hardware (**** that). Just bring the door half to home depot and pick out a fitting nut. Then take out the inserts from the lower half of the door, and adjust the pins to make them fit. Make sure it is semi-snug, as you're going to be ratcheting them down. Costs like a buck fifty to secure your doors.

Is it really worth having these Hard uppers? I feel like they will be more of PITA than comfort. I kind of like the idea of soft upper sliders. I got these super cheap, don't think they are what I want to deal with. Screwing and unscrewing.

    Any input?

I went from soft upper sliders to hard. I would give anything to go back. It's a royal PITA, and you lose the amount of opening you get. I was angry at myself. Now I have full hard doors. Perfect world scenario for me, half doors with soft sliders no matter what top.
