it depends on how hard you plan on wheeling it but sliders and armor are a great idea!!!
I have been doing alot of reading online, in magazines, on the forum, and also watching alot of videos with modified jeeps and wheelin. I am trying to prioritize in buying some modifications. I have been reading that rock sliders are important, and also provide ease for getting in and out of your rig. CB radios are another important addition to have to commnicate with others on the trails( and use if in case of an emergency).
And I also been looking at the snorkel. Having owned mustangs in the past, the air intake was always the first modification I replaced for better air quaility into my engine.....
Lastly, i want to buy a front grill/push bar with the ability of installing a winch.
So, where would you spend your money first?
I have 33'' swampers, with a lift kit already and a suspension, whats priority next?

Body Armor, Skidplates, Any form of protection.
There are mixed reviews on whether a snorkle adds air intake or restricts it. But I have yet to see any solid proof either way. Unless you planning on doing alot of river crossing's I really see a snorkle as a last upgrade.
Winches are great to have, but there are alot of other less expensive recovery options. Hi-lift's, come-a-long's, strap's and recovery points.
Hope that helps some what.

so it seems that armor is first on the list.... Roger that! Any good websites to purchase from, or is it worth a drive to a good off road store?

Side note as you've already made the right choice. I honestly don't think that the snorkel adds air flow, but it IS a nice piece of insurance should you come to a water crossing. 9 times out of 10, no one is going to scout it and lead is just going to plunge in. Ask JeepinSoldier.![]()
Get your oil pan, diffs, steering and lower control arms covered.
Sliders are nice, but not as important.
ok, as im doing some serious reading on the 03 Rubicon while im on leave, it seems that Jeep put alot of the aftermarket mods into it. To include the 4:1 ratio low gears and also the 44s as the are called!
Also has the rocker guards below the doors already and i went outside and took a peek underneath and i have this massive steel plate directly under the drive shaft and that might also cover the oil pan. ( i need to take another look)
I have read up on the diff cover and the control arm covers and will invest in those.
See im learning! Thank you for your response on this thread guys. Keep it coming. Im a true rookie at this.

When you come down I can take a peek at your rig as well. The biggest thing when you start wheeling is trying to figure out what a bulk of your wheeling is gonna be. Rocks? Mud? Trails? Mall crawler? When you know what type your gonna mainly do go out and do it. See what kinda stuff your gonna encounter and then go from there.
Cheap insurance will be a steering box skid plate ($50ish) Oil pan skid, diff guards.
