Nice looking winch, quite a bit cheaper than the warn version of it.
The only place I've seen the compressors mounted is underneath between the frame rail and the driveshaft.
I was looking at winches and I saw the XRC10HD and was intrigued. I remember a while back someone that had an air tank mounted underneath the jeep along the driver side frame rail behind the belly pan. Where else have you seen an airtank mounted that made you consider it?

Yeah, that's where I was talking about. I saw one mounted between the backseat and tailgate. I have the MPAC and a fixed footlocker, so that's out for me.
I've actually seen people turn their bumpers into a tank. Would take a little bit of fab work, but it's a nice clean way to have a tank w/o the extra weight and loss of space.
I'm pretty rough on my bumpers...don't know if I'd risk that. Good idea though.
I totally regret putting my tank on the tail gate, don't do that. My buddy Todd bolted some angle iron to the firewall somehow to mount his under the hood. Looks good and keeps it away from the rocks I'll see if I can get pics for you.
Word
Koris,
Mine may be the one you remember, it sits under the Jeep on the drivers side just rear of the drivers seat opposite of the muffler. Then I ran couplers front and rear. I got some pics if you need to see them.

The bravest of all Spartans was Dienekes. It is said that on the eve of battle, he was told by a native of Trachis that “the Persian archers were so numerous that, when they fire their volleys, the mass of arrows will block out the sun.”
Dienekes, however, quite undaunted by this prospect, remarked with a laugh, “Good. Then we’ll fight in the shade!”

That'd be cool Fifthpro. You and NOVATJ over on Nova had them in the same location and I thought it was really cool but risky. Have you come close to knocking a hole in it? Is there additional protection?
Risky? Sarge........the old girl is sitting on 35's with a 6" RR Sky Jacker LA! Not a lot gets up that high.
Besides, a new muffle would probably cost more and we never worry about the muffler. Lets just say I do knock a hole it in......it is not going to do anything except leak air. OK, it will come out pretty fast and all at once.
