    Default Turn signal/wiper switch

Ok, so I was driving down the road, hit my turn signal to turn and the damn thing fell of in my lap. The metal rod in the middle just broke. Since it's my DD, I need to figure out how to pull the steering column apart to change it out. I got the steering wheel off, but can't figure out how to get the rest of the crap out of the middle so I can change the assembly. Does anyone have an idea? TIA.

All you need to do is put the steering column back together and use the hand signals that people use when they ride their bicycles. It seems to work well for them.

It's still together, it broke at the shaft. I have a long squeegee and the hand and arm signals going right now.

The bravest of all Spartans was Dienekes. It is said that on the eve of battle, he was told by a native of Trachis that “the Persian archers were so numerous that, when they fire their volleys, the mass of arrows will block out the sun.”

Dienekes, however, quite undaunted by this prospect, remarked with a laugh, “Good. Then we’ll fight in the shade!”
