I say wave and when they dont wave back that makes them the azz not you. I had someone tell me once they didnt wave back because they were too busy eyeballin my mods in passing and didnt see me wave. I know myself I always do a eye over on passing Jeeps..BUT I still do the southern two finger off the steering wheel wave.

Wave away friend. It shows recognition of the other Jeepers. I guess some other people that don't wave back is that they don't know or that didn't see you. Give them benefit of the dought anyway.

I think the wave should be taught to all people buying Jeeps. The dealership should inform new buyers.

I'd say wave even if you're towing the Jeep. I wave all the time to Wranglers and most the time to other Jeeps if they look like they hit the trails (modifications, covered in mud, etc). If I see a spotless, bone stock Liberty, driven by a soccer mom, I probably won't wave unless they wave first.

The last time I was home and driving my Jeep around I could have sworn I gave a few fellow Jeepers whiplash because they were trying to check out my Jeep...was funny. I waved, but I don't think most of them noticed...too busy looking at the Jeep itself.

Anyone notice that the new Jeeps hardly ever wave? Apparently they haven't been schooled on protocol! I pass a built TJ every few days on the way home and he flashes nearly every off road light he has at me, even when he's still a mile away - its nice to be part of the group. With the old CJ I can't get to the headlight switch in time and would probably kill myself trying considering how loose the steering is. I just keep on waving and smiling like a crazed a$$ hole!
