hey so what was the problem with your heater im having the same problem u did it only works on high. is it a pain in the ass to fix?
Anyway there I was a couple weeks ago, yes a couple weeks so I knew it was coming, the fan speed control quits working on all but the high setting so I thinks to myself the relay or resistor is going bad. But heck I have high I'm good. I get around to it and put in a new resistor (~$40) and it still runs only on high so I put in a new relay no change. And then NO Blower at all dang it we have a SMORR run and leave today after work so frantic calling over the thriving metropolises’ of central Missouri HA! I did find one in Rolla Chrysler Dealer 25 miles away in the wrong direction. So I haven’t got it in yet to se if it'll work, I did take out the blower last night and direct wire it and it spun away.........................more to follow

I had the same problem with my 06 LJ, it was the resistor. Since its still under warrenty I took it to the dealer, no problems.
Thats a common problem, not sure if there's any kind of recall, but I read over at JF that it could melt your dash![]()
jeeps have heaters?
Mine was the actual switch in the dash, $23 dealer item. Real easy to change, center bezel comes off then 4 bolts for the piece that hols the 3 heater controls and 2 bolts hold the switch in. I changed mine while it was loaded on the trailer after work took about 15 minutes.
Relay= $3-$9
Resistor= $35-$40
switch= $21-$25
Blower Motor= $138.00
LUcky it wasnt the motor, I did pull mine out and jumped it off the battery it spun away.
My old switch must of got hot when it went bad, it had melted the plastic around enough that I had to use plier to pull it out.
Some do but only until the relay or resistor or switch go bad![]()

I had a '90 Dodge Custom Van that used to burn up the heater switches. I replaced several and then finally the wiring burnt up. There is a way to rewire the switch and run it through a relay so the switch won't burn up.
After the wiring burnt up I traded it in.
I'm Mike, make sure you spell it right, because I do not want to get the wrong A$$hole in trouble.
If you do not have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time do do it over?

Funny thing is when I was an OC at NTC, we used to put a couple inches of sand/dirt in the passenger floor board and put some hot coals down, set a cast iron dutchoven on top and a few coals on its top to cook dinner as we rolled around chaseing the units.
Ah the good ole days getting paid to thrash a hummer
I had that problem and look under the dash, where the low to high knob is, start the Jeep and lay in the floor board and swith it from high to low slowely then back again and just watch the knobs work, mine had come loose for some reason just hooked it back up and its been working ever since
