Default My Humble Apology to JK Owners

Welllllll......I didn't think that time would come but I must apologize to all (well, most) JK owners for being less than understanding about their choice of vehicle. Now I understand.

I had this F250 FX4 sitting in the driveway that I hated (not sure why I bought it in 2007...must have been the TBI caused by that VBIED in Iraq) and I made up my mind that I was going to trade it in on another Jeep TJ for use as a daily driver. I found a nice, low mileage 2006 TJ that was going to work and went to do the deed when for some unknown reason, I decided to take a test drive in a JK (I had never drove one because I couldn't stop laughing at those front 'fenders').

Now I remember back in the mid-eighties when the CJ's were kicked to the curb for those abominations with square headlights. I fought any and all thoughts of modern convenience and only drove CJ's up until 2004 when I finally decided enough was enough and converted to a TJ. I wish I hadn't waited so long......

Four TJ's later and it was time for a new DD...and it had to be a TJ of course. Well....after driving the JK (and talking to the TBI gremlins in my head), I now understand why so many TJ owners have converted. I still love my TJ Rubicon but damn, the difference between a JK and a TJ is unbelievable!

So here it is...my humble apology to JK owners...for now I too have gone to the dark side.

needs pic for a true apology...

Austere Mobility in a '99 TJ Sport with a few bells and whistles

The bravest of all Spartans was Dienekes. It is said that on the eve of battle, he was told by a native of Trachis that “the Persian archers were so numerous that, when they fire their volleys, the mass of arrows will block out the sun.”

Dienekes, however, quite undaunted by this prospect, remarked with a laugh, “Good. Then we’ll fight in the shade!”

Pic's and twenty lashes with a wet noodle.
I'm Mike, make sure you spell it right, because I do not want to get the wrong A$$hole in trouble.

If you do not have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time do do it over?
