    Default Should I be weary?

Gotten a few prices on gettin a 40 series flowmaster on my 08 JK ranging on average from about 160-200 even as high as 350 (laughed and hung up) over on JF seems like 160-200 is about average I stopped by a shop today outside post that was recommended by a shop i was recommended to by a couple of people on post so hopefully reputable.. But he got down looked around said yea ill just need to put a 90 deg bend here and can do it in about 45 to an hour and should by right around 120-130 for parts and labor... Should I be concerned that hes way lower than anyone else? He told me about 110 on the phone but hed need to look at it for sure so when I went by thats what he said... So i guess as long as the flowmaster stamp is on the muffler i should be g2g right?

I would say you are ok. I would highly recomend that if there is any welding being done that you need to physically crawl under and look at it because I have seen some shotty welding on exhaust systems and there shouldnt be any welding done on the cat because you can potentially jack it all up because the welding puts out such a high temp.

I would be more concerned about the 90 deg bend as it will create more back pressure. I haven't looked under a JK but when they put one on my WJ they had to add extra pipe to make it fit.
I'm Mike, make sure you spell it right, because I do not want to get the wrong A$$hole in trouble.

If you do not have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time do do it over?

ok got it installed quite a bit of interior drone on decel.... not bad when accelerating or maintaining speed, not quite as throaty as id hoped but we will see ive heard flowmasters change over time... still gotta reach up under there and feel for the flowmaster stamp even though they are an authorized dealer per the flowmaster site

I got a flowmaster knock-off, no problems yet, and I have had it for well over 6-months. I say don't worry about it too much, I have seen people run an empty muffler shell after the cat for years with no problems. Why the concern with the brand-name?
