Last night FLW Chapter OF MJ modified my 07 JK Rubicon. Things went fairly good. We started with the Body lift. A straight forward lift, only problem area was the front grill. It has special screws that require a delicate light hand to turn to get them to release. 3 people tired and only one could do it. Next we tackled the TeraFlex lift, I had there instructions and ProjectJK.com instructions. They were both a little off in areas, The lift consited of New coil springs, New Isloator on the rear, New 9550 TeraFlex shocks, Brake line extender bracket, Reat track bar relocater bracket, New rear sway bar links, Spring retainers in the rear, think thats all. TeraFlex claims that there shocks have 4 more inches of drop then factory shock with shock extenders. I would suggest making sure you do the back first, becasue of the need to reuse the back sway bar links on the front. Make sure you have good tall jack, jack stands, the cheap ones most people have will just not be tall enough with all the flex you gain. I also suggest you buy the wheel spacer or new rims. there is only 1/4 inch of space between the tire and rear sway bar links. I have nodoubt they will rub when flexed. We next turned the factory bumper into a stubby, Nothing great here some may say not professional enough for them but it great for me. Will dress it up a little more later. All and all i will say it was a great night the jeeps ride alot better than the factory rubicon suspesion did. It took us about 5 1/2 hours for body lift, suspension lift and custom bumper. It amazes me how much flex the jeep has now. Total cost was 700. with military discount for lift from teraflex directly and 135 for BL from Mountain of road. Price of bumper is Priceless.
07 JK 2 DR Rubicon, RTI Score 673, 32's TereFlex 2.5 lift with shocks ,1 inch M.O.R.E Body Lift, Custom Bumper By Fred and Dave, and Raingler nets & grips , CB CH 4
With out soldier sacrifice America would not be here today. Soldier on Hooah!!!
