does anyone know what size the speakers are in the factory sound bar in an 02 tj?

You can always make anything fit. But the mounting tabs are for 5 1/4. You'd have to cut them off, and just use self tapping screws to hold the new ones in.
If you already have 6 1/2 speakers, it might just be better to sell them and get the ones that already fit. Just my .02
