Im no artist or electrician but I did stay at a Holiday Express last night. Also I used a SPDT switch with the on-off-on setup. I just ran a wire from the middle pole on the switch to pole 86 on the relay. Then (1) and (2) are connected to the top and bottom poles on the switch. Purty easy.

Here is a pick of the two wires running to the backup switch that I traced out to be on top of the tranny. They are Pink/Brown and White/Lightgreen. To get power when in reverse to trip the relay, you want to tap into the White/Light green one. This can be done at connector 201 pin 9. It is located under the hood on the fire wall. It is a big gray plug you cant miss it.

Heres a pic of the bus bar made up. I wanted to find a metal connector to connect all the same side together but I couldnt locate any around here so I made this up for now.

EDIT: Yeah I just noticed I should have put this in the tech write up...oooooops

That looks like a sweet set up. I have to admit however I am lost on the BUS Bar. It looks as though the wires are serpentined through to connect the first and last wire. What is the Bus bar actually for?
A simple misunderstanding gets a lot less simple when you add choppers and a SWAT team.

Yeah I wanted to run some kind of shorting strip on the bus bar to connect all of them together but I couldnt find anything around here so I had to make this abortion up.

I went with this set up so I could have a common ground for future things I planned on adding. It will look better than having grounds ran everywhere. Hopefully I can find some kind of shorting strip to connect them all.

Now it makes perfect sense. If you cant find a premade strip try Home Depot. I know at mine the sell small pieces of sheet metal which you could cut to fit the application and maintain the circuit, in theory.

I like the additional lighting when backing up but if you wheel you rig a lot then the location is going to catch hell down there. I am sure you already know that and I may get the picture of "Captain Obvious" posted with a quote of me saying this.....

Austere Mobility in a '99 TJ Sport with a few bells and whistles

The bravest of all Spartans was Dienekes. It is said that on the eve of battle, he was told by a native of Trachis that “the Persian archers were so numerous that, when they fire their volleys, the mass of arrows will block out the sun.”

Dienekes, however, quite undaunted by this prospect, remarked with a laugh, “Good. Then we’ll fight in the shade!”

Fifthpro is right. I busted a couple mounted that way. If you can move them in so they sit in front the hitch that will protect them some.

Haha ... but yeah that thought crossed my mind after they were mounted. Im not too worried about it, they were only $14 at walmart so when they do come off I will just mount the new ones in a better place.
