Im no artist or electrician but I did stay at a Holiday Express last night. Also I used a SPDT switch with the on-off-on setup. I just ran a wire from the middle pole on the switch to pole 86 on the relay. Then (1) and (2) are connected to the top and bottom poles on the switch. Purty easy.
Here is a pick of the two wires running to the backup switch that I traced out to be on top of the tranny. They are Pink/Brown and White/Lightgreen. To get power when in reverse to trip the relay, you want to tap into the White/Light green one. This can be done at connector 201 pin 9. It is located under the hood on the fire wall. It is a big gray plug you cant miss it.
Heres a pic of the bus bar made up. I wanted to find a metal connector to connect all the same side together but I couldnt locate any around here so I made this up for now.
EDIT: Yeah I just noticed I should have put this in the tech write up...oooooops
