Default Who here has done this? homebrew Camper Trailer

Many of you have probably seen this, I am interested in WHO has done it on this forum. I would like to see what you got and how you did it, I really want to do this using an old US Army tent as oppsed to buying something premade. Here is a link to the guys site, he seems pretty dang good at what he does.

That is wicked cool. I have never done anything like that, nor do I know anyone that has, but that is quite "Real" as they say.

You would probably find a lot more information over on expeditionpotal.com
Quite a few guys have made their own roof top tent/trailer combo's.

bigsky, chucknes,..... We really should get together. I have been designing one of these with a friend for a long while. Found an american 8'x4' trailer in K-town. The only thing stopping me is figuring out the tent. I refuse to spend $1000 for a roof top tent. Maybe those of us in Germany need to get together with a few beers and some paper and brain storm this.

The way that tent folds off the trailer is nbd. I have a 1961 Apache Chief. It is designed that way. They were way ahead of there time.
