I can't go a month w/o something breaking. In Jan, had to replace the power steering lines (gremlins ate holes in them), in feb, I broke 8 lug studs doing a tire rotation. This month, had to replace the wind shield. I don't even want to talk about the qt of oil I lose ever 3000 miles due to my rear main, the phantom clunks I get from the rear end, or the fact that there isn't enough thread lock to keep my track bar from coming loose once a month.
I don't even plan future mods at this point, the money goes to repairs. Unfortunately I cant break the things I want to replace, like axle shafts.

Ah rroadkill - You have learned a very important lesson, but you still have much to learn Grasshopper. When you can know what will be found broken before you break the first - only then will you become a master.

Rroadkill.. here's the secret: take too long to fix the first item. that way the gaps between broken items is wider.
It takes me awhile to fix something on my jeep, mostly because i work way to much, but when I do get around to working on something, i take my time and draw it out, so I know exactly what im doing, i've covered all possible 'oh shits' and i've done a good amount of research. So Im not fixing stuff as often, so I dont notice new broken stuff as often! It's a wonderfull system! see, procrastination does pay off!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Jeeps (Junk Each and Every Piece). My fav. is "while I'm replacing "this" part, I might as well replace "that other" part as well. That's why it took me 3 weeks to change a power steering hose and still end up with power steering fluid on the driveway every morning.
Real Jeeps are built, not bought
