    Default TJ door question

what is the difference between a YJ door and a TJ door?

is there a difference in the striker?

I just got a 98 TJ but it looks like the doors are from a YJ??? the striker is one single post. My brother has a 2003 TJ but his door striker is shaped like a U-bolt on the body.

If it has a vent window it's a YJ door if it is ventless then it's a TJ door. Also price a nice set of YJ doors bring about 600.00 a nice set fo TJ doors bring 1000.00

The difference is the striker and the placement of the latch mechanism. I belive the lock and striker are higher up on the YJ.

do all TJs have the same kind of striker? the U shaped one?

if they do, someone did some creative adjustment on mine.

also, what i have now are the half doors. they don't fit too good. and, the strap to keep it from swining open too far, the brackets are in a different location on the door vs the body.
the driver door does not even have a key hole.

Would have to ask Georgia but I don't think her YJ half doors have key holes in them either.
