Default 4:10 gears for the JK

Just a note for you JK owners. When I was at the Ring and Pioion shop yesterday I found out that you can not get 4:10 gears for the front super D30.

They had a JK there that the guy wanted to regear to 4:10's but they could not get any for the front. Don't know what the problem is with them but they quit making them for now.
I'm Mike, make sure you spell it right, because I do not want to get the wrong A$$hole in trouble.

If you do not have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time do do it over?

That is kinda funny. About 8 months ago I got a complete 07 JK front super D30 with a true track locker with 4.10's for $1000.00 that had 3000 miles on it when he removed it from his Jeep for a project I was going to start. Now I have it for sale since my wife lost her job after 12 years with this company with no notice..

Also I just got a 4 wheel drive parts catalog and they do not list any 4:10's for the JK either.

I wonder if this is Jeep s way of forcing you to buy the Rubicon Dana 44 front axle set up? It comes with 4.10s. Not an expert on axles, but how would a Super 30 for the JK be differant from any other Super 30? I thought all a Super 30 meant was stronger shafts and upgraded outers? Are the ring and pinion upgraded as well? Did you check with Superio or Randy's?

Don't know. That was in January, don't know if something changed since then or not. But either way, I was just putting the info out there.
