    Default Torx Trouble

Hello, I am trying to remove my stock 06" TJ front bumper. Does anyone know what size torx key I need for those four bolts that secure the front bumper? Cant seem to find the right size at the hardware store. I think it might be a 50. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Go to Sears, Home Depot, Lowes, or even Walmart. I picked up an 11 piece Torx set for about 15 bucks. That way you will have all the ones you need.

Its a T55, I would get the bits from Sears or Kragen because of the lifetime warranty, everyone that's worked on Jeeps for a while know how awesome torxs are :-/, also definatly get a set, the more you look around the more you'll realize half the Jeep is held together by them!

It's a T55.... and if yours are anything like mine, it will take a big freaking breaker bar.

If you soak it with PB Blaster, you won't strip it.

If you don't have the tools you need and get them at Sears. If you buy the Craftsman sets they only go up to T50 IRC, SO make sure you pick up the T55 and T60. I would suguest that you also pick up the female torx socket set. They are used for starter and bell housing bolts. The set is only 40.00 at sears.
