    Default Cleaning up after Bubba

    While taking out the original ECU and harness, I found all sorts of interesting things. Wires in the harness that had been spliced with no solder (just twisted together) and wrapped with duct tape. I found wires wrapped with chewing gum foil and electrical tape. Connectors unplugged...

    I removed probably 50 lbs of wire and crap from the jeep and fixed probably 10 bad splices. It actually runs better. I think the crappy splices, particularly on the grounds, was causng the Howell injection to not run well.

    It's just amazing what people will do when working on a vehicle.
