Will an '06 TJ CD player fit in an '01 TJ Sahara?

I have one that my buddy gave to me for free and I'm just wondering. I saw threads previously that mentioned it but the pictures that were posted were gone (OLD threads).

I know the 2006 radio has the oval face where the 2001 I believe had the more square face. I havnt seen an adapter plate that covers that but certainly doesnt mean there isnt one out there?
