I am tired of putting my top up and down everytime it comes a storm. I have a boat in the garage and am tired of moving it in and out to put the Jeep in when rain is coming. I am tired of sitting on wet seats from the dew in the morning. Does anyone have experience with one of these tops? Do they work and fit good? Are they a pain and time consuming to get on and off the Jeep? If you have one, what brand is it and would you reccomend it? Just looking for input before I spend the money, Thanks.

I had one for my YJ, and I loved it. Mine was a Bestop that I got on there website for 10-15 dollars, they were discontinued or something. I would recommend it if you get the waterproof version and not the water resistant cause you will notice a differance in how much water will get through the resistant version. It was easy to put on and to take off, you just need to be able to put it somewhere when you do take it off after a rain because it will be wet and whatever you lay it on or where ever you place it will get wet.

I really would like to have one for my JK this summer so I will be looking for one myself.

    Hope this helps.

We use one on our YJ also. Its great, less than a minute or two to get it on by yourself.
Fits over a bikini top as well.
We've never had a real issue with it. Got it cheap off of craigslist.

I have one from http://www.jeepcovers.com/ that I love. Unlike to one pictured above it covers the doors when you have them off.

I have the exact one in the photo and it worked well other than real high winds, which happens in COS in the summer, but I had a Safari Bikini, windjammer and duster under it.

I've got one just sitting in my garage. It's a pavement ends emergency top 92-95 from 4WD. I bought it for my Yj and discovered that it doesn't work with my cage. The good thing about mine is you can drive with it. (back window area rolls up) Bad is it doesn't cover the doors. anyone wants it... $65 shipped.

Get the Bestop one it's awesome. I prefer the one that they have out now that has flaps for when the doors are off too. very nice.

This is the one I am looking at because they state that it is made of the same heavy fabric as a soft top, and it covers the door area. With all of the positive feedback I am getting here, I am going to order one.

Got my Bestop trail cover in this afternoon. The only complaint I have with it is the door flaps on this one do not fit well with the doors on because of the mirrors.

Other than that small complaint, it is definately worth the money. It is very heavy and durable. It is made from the same thick fabric as the soft top. It is very tight fitting. It has alot of straps to hold it on during wind. It even has the little plastic runners that slip into the tub channels that hold it on and tighten it up. I am very pleased and would recommend this cover to anyone.
