Default Has anyone been to Jeep Skool?

Isaw a web site for Jeep Skool off road park in Mantua OH. Was just wondering if anyone has been and if it's worth the 3 1/2 hour drive? From what I can tell there are not too many places in Ohio to go offroading. I also saw a place east of Columbus be the website says body damage is highly likely. It's not that I'm afraid of scuffs and bruises but I want to enjoy my Jeep not destroy it.

I've never been there but some of our club members have. They say it's not worth going. Mostly mud, nothing realy worth while. You have to take a class to learn how to wheel first before you can go on the trails. I've been wheeling for over thirty years, I'm not going to take lessons from some one with no experiance. We are going to Wellsville this Sunday, it is much better wheeling then Jeep Skool and I think closer for you. If you whould like to go with us let me know.

Here are some pictures of Wellsville, there are bypasses around some of the hard stuff.

I would go with BrownRC and the group he will be going with. I think rolling with people that know the area and will appreciate the fact that not everyone wants to attempt every obstacle, will work in your favor. Plus, it is a good chance to meet some people face to face that are pretty local to you.

    x2.

Wheeling with people you "know" is much more fun, plus you get to post about all the funny carnage that happens.

Getting my morning coffee at the mud truck. Don't ever talk to me until I've had my morning coffee. Seriously, don't. I'm venomous. @BronxZooCobra.

Well normally it's about me getting stuck on/in an obstacle after getting dared to try it. But there have been a few Chris and Andrew incidents.

Would love to go but I have to work on Sunday. I will def. need someone to teach me how to drive the trails. The only experience I have is the HMMWV course back in 1993. Never really put it to practice. The powers that be felt it was better for us to leave our trucks in the motor pool.

Sounds good. I looked for local jeep clubs and so far I only found one in my area. From what I can tell from their site they are all high school age with huge jeeps that like to go "muddin". Doesn't sound too fun to me.
