Yeah I'll be getting a TJ as soon as I find one I like.
I dont think i updated on what happened but I fell out of the Jeep scene because... the KJ died. Well, not so much "died" as it broke and Chrysler said they weren't going to pay to fix it even though I felt it was a warranty issue (water made its way into the ECU because of a faulty seal from factory). So, once I return from my deployment which I am almost finished with, i will be looking to purchase a ZJ!!! I would really like a fully loaded ZJ Limited, however now that I have a daily driver, it doesn't matter as it wont be used full time. Im excited to be a fellow military jeeper again!

thats cool aberdeen! im looking for one that has every option that was available in 1996-1998 including the V8. whats really cool is because my daily driver is a 5-speed manual 2008 ford focus that gets insane gas mileage (i can get about 480-490 miles out of a 13 gallon tank!!!!!) i can look at 8-cylinder options![]()
You'll probably have better luck finding a V8 ZJ any way.

Same thing happened on my wife's 2006 Commander. Faulty rubber seal let water into the transfer case ECU and fried the whole thing. Faircy Boys in Colorado Springs got the whole thing covered under warranty and even ended up getting us a rental for a week because it was taking Jeep to long to get them the parts to fix it.
cool.
i picked up a WJ for 7k. its got that lovely indestructable I6 in it, and i get about 400 miles to a tank out on the freeway. makes me happy. much nicer than the Duramax.
now if i could figure out the stupid check engine light......
go chrysler jeep also gave me a rental car... a 2008 ford focus 5-speed manual... hey...wait... its the same one i purchasedi fell in love with the rental car they gave me so much that i bought it. it was a demo model to show off the new ford sync system.
