    Default Soft Top Stowage

Since it finally got warm enough to start cleaning up and organizing the garage, I have discovered that I have too much stuff and not enough space. The biggest pain in the rear right now is the TJ soft top. Anybody have any good setups for putting that thing on the wall? I looked around and found the expensive thing at Quadratec and I like the way it hangs the top and the all the windows but I'm not paying that kinda money for that. Anybody else hung their's up and have some pics to show?

Here is the quadratec one in case someone is interested in seeing how it is set up.

Pick up something like this at lowes, home depot, walmart, etc.. They run less than 10 bucks and are designed to hold ladders. Depending on what style you get (cheap or heavy duty) you shuld need two, maybe three to hold the main portion of your top comfortable. If you want to pad them, just wrap a wash cloth around them and secure it with a cable tie / zip strip.

You can roll the windows, wrap them in an old blanket or sheet, lay them across the same style hooks if needed.

Good idea, thanks. I had looked around at Wally world the other day and not found anything, but these should work. I guess I'll head to Home Depot tomorrow and check these out.

Great idea and will probably go this route, but anybody else got other ideas?

I would use the method described above. But instead of rolling your windows, get two of these (Lowes or HD) and screw them into the wall. Hang your windows, all three, plus soft uppers if you have them, without any problems of creasing.

Good thinking. when we all put our heads together we can make a heck of a budget version of the expensive stuff out there.

I use the hooks like MilJeep shoed and roll my top and windows up in an old duffle bag I had. My uppers are stored in a padded bag and under my bed because of the glass sliders.

Back in Colorado, I use the hooks shown, I wrap the soft top up with bungy cords so it stays together. Then I did buy the window storage bag and hang the soft top windows from one hook and the upper door sliders I put in the basement. In the winter I rolled up the Safari bikini, duster and windjammer and the soft door upper and hang them on the same hooks.
