Here ya go:

I have and it works. 2 Batteries connected in series is all it takes. I use 1 set of jumper cables and a short jumper to connect the batteries together. I carry a tube of about a dozen or so sticks of 6011 welding rod and a handheld face shield.
I strongly recommend a little practice in the driveway since the trail is no place to learn how to weld.
Cool heard of ready welder but this is much cheaper to set up lol got everything but the sticks!
NOW the question is, you and youor buds batteries used for this,
how long does it work? battery dependant I'm sure
but any idea how long you can weld something and still start your rig?
Can you have a high amp alt and run our rig while welding something?

A friend has a ready welder. There's no comparison, the ready welder is so much easier.
The question of the high amp alt. Is a good one as it would be nice to charge as you weld. Thanks for the info.
