Default fuel filter change=better gas milage

'04 Grand Cherokee 4.0 eng. There is a fuel filter/regulator above the rear axle on the drivers side.
I saw some guys talking about it on Jeepforum so I decided to change it as I have about 223,000 miles on mine. Suprise, my mpg has seemed to increase and it is not kicking down as much when going up inclines.

By my overhead I am seeing about a 3 mpg increase. It feels like it has more power and is running smoother. Will have to wait awhile longer to be sure, but everything is indicating it helped.

Just wanted to put this out for all to see.

I'm Mike, make sure you spell it right, because I do not want to get the wrong A$$hole in trouble.

If you do not have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time do do it over?

Well, my poor Jeep does not get "miles to the gallon" rather, I get "gallons to the mile".
Anything that easy to increase gas mileage that works is a good thing.

The bravest of all Spartans was Dienekes. It is said that on the eve of battle, he was told by a native of Trachis that “the Persian archers were so numerous that, when they fire their volleys, the mass of arrows will block out the sun.”

Dienekes, however, quite undaunted by this prospect, remarked with a laugh, “Good. Then we’ll fight in the shade!”

Hmm, wonder if my '99XJ is set up similar. I'll check if it quits raining!
