    Exclamation Kick Back?

Here lately, when I hit 55-65 mph I get a slight "Kick Back". Drop down to 50 or go up to 66+ and my X rides smooth. No engine mods, only throttle body spacer and snorkel. Any ideas whats going on?

Need more information! If it's got an auto tranny, could be the lock-up torque converter working.

Sorry it took so long to get on here guys, been in the field. Anyway what I mean is, when I hit 55-6+ mph my X (Auto) will "Kick" or jerk back. The long the trip the more it kicks. Its a slight jerk but still makes me wonder.

How many miles are on the rig? When is the last time you checked the tranny fluid?

What year TJ is it? How much lift are you running to clear those 33" tires? The reason I am asking is an "X" with an automatic came with either 3.05 or 3.55 gears and three speed or 4 speed auto depending year. You may be need to think about reagearing your axles so your engine gets back to normal operating rpm when you are running 60 mph, should be around 2,100 rpm, my guess is you are lugging down around 1,600 rpm. You may also be getting a little rear drive shaft bind depending on the lift kit you have and if you did a SYE kit or lowered the transfer case. This would also be noticiable with driveline vibration when you first start off.
