    Question steering issue

I am having a problem with my steering and I can' tfigure it out. Every time I make a turn the steering wheel will be tilted about a quarter turn in the direction I turned. Any bumps in the road cause the steering wheel to change postion but the wheels stay straight. When I push in the clutch the steering wheel goes right but the wheels stay straight. When I accelerate the steering wheel goes left. I have 3" coil spacers installed along with new shocks. I also have trac bar drop brackets. Any Ideas

Did you do a drop pitman arm when you did the lift? Sounds like you didn't. If you look at the track bar and cross link they should be even but with most basic lifts they do not include a drop pitman which lowers the drag link connection at the steering box and corrects this.

With 3' of lift, you will get bumpsteer . Your steering is off, because your drag link is now too short, and the angles are off. A drop pitman arm SHOULD fix the issue.

    Really?
I've got a 4" lift on my current jeep and a 3" lift on my previous and never needed the drop pitman arm. Most people claim they've caused more steering issue's than have actually solved them. Of course, you can tell if it's needed or not by looking at your
drag link and track bar and making sure they're parallel to each other.

Don't go buy a drop pitman arm just yet. I run Rubicon Express 4.5 lift without a drop pitman arm and no steering issues. First check that your trac bar is torqued to spec. Also do you have adustable control arms or just the coil spacers? Did you do an alignment after installing the coils? If no that should be you first step after checking the trac bar.

Shouldnt need a DPA im sitting on 5.5 inch coils with stock arm and no problem. Make sure your track bar is tight and the holes are not enlarged.

I was thinking this as well but looking at his sig it's a 2006. Highly unlikely but not impossible. My bet is on the alignment his caster and camber are off causing the wondering/bumpsteer feel.
