    USMC curious

is anyones still paying on their rigs that they beat the holy hell out of? i see a lot of Jks here and i was wondering of there are any reservations with running and not being paid. FYI i'm paying on mine- it cost more than a normal TJ would only because it's limited edition- but it doesnt stop me from tearing it up inside and out.

I'm still paying on mine. I'll take it on blacks, but I'm usually pretty cautious. Probably more so since it's my dd.
I also try to take as good a care of it as possible. Usually in the hobby shop every few weeks to check on all the suspension parts, fluids, grease fittings, u joints, etc..

like veedub, i got mine shortly after st. pattys day in 08 and have taken out and beat on it, thrown it through the mud and dragged the frame and skid plates over rocks and dirt. the wife only cares if it looks and runs good when i am done with it cause she still has to drive it. my tj wasnt paid off either and i would drag the body of that thing sideways through trenches and gaps all day long and not care.

X2. Still paying and its my DD. When it had less than 500 miles I lifted it, installed bumpers and winch and then wheeled it hard. First time out I bent a driver side rear axle shaft flange. The Jeep now has full corner armor, body mount sliders, the carpet removed, and the inside line x'd.

I try to wheel hard but carefully by following the Camel Creedo: 'As slow as possible, as fast as necessary.' If I cant crawl over it locked I usually pull winch cable. Im not afraid to use the winch as thats the way most rigs made it over hard obstacles before big lifts and tires. I bought the recovery gear for a reason.

Jeep also gets cleaned up, waxed and proper maint done. I paid too much for it not to take care of it.

I was wheeling and paying. Same goes for a few in my local club. Nice thing is there is a dealer that will do most repairs under warranty, as long as it's not obviously because of a mod.
