damn what a hassel
I have to say this is fast becoming a sore point with me.
I have new rubicon express adjustable control arms on my 06 tj.
after only 3 months the bushings are shot! Ok, No biggie they have had bushing issues so I have new ones being shipped free.....eventually.
So in the mean time I figured I'd throw the 4WD hardware control arms back on but one of the bushings is toast, so i call 4WD and get the run around, no part #'s no help , no call backs as promised? Guys name is Kevin.............So do they think I'm just going to go away? WTF, I need the bushings, evidentely 4WD just figured there bushings would never go bad?
I'm steaming pretty good here. Guess Duct Tape will have to do till someone comes through?

I'd vote to replace all the rubber bushings with johnny joints.
Do the RE adjustables have the same rebuildable ends that the RE long arms do Joe? If hey do, I have several rebuild kits you can have and replace my stash hen yours come in.

If you talk to Kel or Woody at 4WD, I can almost guarantee you they will be able to get you a more suitable answer. Neither of them work in customer service so they don't have to give you the party line when you call.
81 CJ7, 30 over 258, did the Weber thing now I'm going with a Howell injection kit, 2.5 lift, SRS, and the all important M998 instrument panel with Equus gages. Also have a 71 AMC 360 to rebuild when I kill the 258.
I got someone at 4WD that came clean and told me Pro Comp makes the arms so I called them. it took about 20 minutes but the guy was able to come up with the part #s for the bushings. Unfortunately I cant order them from procomp I have to go back to 4WD and give them the info so they can have Procomp drop ship them to me.
I have the johnie joints on the axle end of the RE arms, replacing the rubber bushing end would transmit to much vibration to the frame and body, its my daily driver so thats out.
The RE arms have the hour glass rubber bushings on the frame end, thanks for the offer to let me have the replacements till mine show but its not do or die yet, I'll get through till replacements show one way or the other.

I've seen a lot of posts within the past year about the RE bushings going out really quick. I don't know if they get them from a different supplier now, but it seems to be happening way to soon.
Here's a link to many complaints about the RE bushings.
