    Default non jeep help

well we have got a situation out here, i have a mid 90's chevy 3500 that the water pump went out and the hydraulic power unit as well. the contractor has had the parts on order since feburary and they do no know when they will be coming in.

so if anybody by chance has some slightly used but still servicable parts around for this that they would not mind donating, i know that all of us out here would appreciate it.

thanks in advance for any help possible.

Have you looked into aftermarket parts?

well the boneyard around here doesnt have very many vehicles in it.
i do believe it has a 350 i am going to double check cause everything that it needs just so that i can be sure i am getting the right stuff. a hydraulic power unit sounds right but i cannot find such thing for that truck online. aftermarket parts will work, we are just trying not to have to pay for any that is why i was hoping somebody might have a spare or had replaced thiers at one point and kept a good working one around.

Your truck should have the same engine as my Jeep

I'm not sure what the hydraulic power unit is though....do you have any pics? Is it for the clutch?

Ebay has a lot of electric water pumps for around 100.00.

I did some checking with one of my vendors at work, O'reilly Auto Parts, Checker Auto around here. Using a 95 Chevy C3500 with the 5.7 I can get ahold of the water pump. I need to know if you need the threaded or non-threaded outlet. Both are available at $19.99+$3.00 core. If the hydraulic unit you are refering to is the hydroboost for the brakes I can get that as well. It will run you $210.00+$50.00 core and is readily available. I have no idea what shipping would be but if you have access to APO it would probably be cheaper. Let me know for sure and I'll call my account rep and see if I can get a better price.

Are you sure that hydraulic pump isn't the Power Steering pump? I can look and see If I have an extra. I might but it may be out of an 87 Suburban.
