Do you have a distributor?
I would guess in this order...
Plugs
Wires
Distributor
Connection to battery
Went and Trouble Shot today some and came to the conclusion it's getting fuel, its getting air so therefore it's getting No Spark. We did the ole screwdriver on lug wire trick and low and behold no spark. I ran it last about 2 weeks ago and it started ok. It has since rained pretty hard a time or two so I assume something got wet. I pulled all the plug wire and sprayed with brake cleaner to clean and dry them, still nothing. So I am ar a loss. Any thoughts?

I Will replace wires and plugs and distributer and see what happens but it NEVER acted up. It ran strong as new then BAM, so my first guess is distributer or coil.
I will just get a tune up kit with distributer cap, rotor button, wires, plugs and coil. If still nothing I will default to the distributer

You probably want to check the "Cam Trigger" also.
Its located behind the engine by the bellhousing on the driver side
Its that is not working you will no get any fire at the plugs.
Good luck.
Can you see if you can find a pic of that? I should have mentioned this is on a 1992 XJ

Dude,
$5 says it is your crank position sensor. Try unplugging it and then plug it back in, it will usually start after that.
If that doesn't work you can check it with a multimeter. Let me know what year xj you are running and I can tell you how to check it.

X2 on the CPS. Usually unplugging and replugging will work, like Bigsky said, if that works, you should probably replace it, or have a spare with, becuase IIRC, that means it's about to go ka-put.

Coil, we had one STOP this weekend, we took the coil off tapped it on the bumper, slapped it back on and it ran like a charm.

Where is the CPS on a 1992 XJ? I am going to replace the coil with a good tune up

The CPS is located on the upper portion of the Drivers side of the bellhousing. It is held on by two bolts at about the 11 o'clock position when viewed from the rear of the vehicle. Follow the wires up and you will see a plug near the rear of the engine.
